I have a 2 tregnums of '63 Dow and double magnum of '77 Taylor as well. Was hoping to have drunk one of the 63's this year. No real port fans have been by this year to warrant opening it. Try again in 2033.Tom Archer wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2023 10:01 amOf port I have:I think I am ~25 port mags.

At auction:
2x Noval over 40 yo tawny, bottled in 1975, 3,5cm BC
5x Rocha's over 40 yo tawny, bottled in 1984, 3cm BC or better
Very old bottling, a bit tricky, but at a good price (less than € 50,- per bottle)

40+ + 40+ (just about on the second one). Yes, I'd take a try at that price point. And since you have multiple bottles, it might be fun to try refreshing one with a small bit of younger stuff.A.S. Re: What Port(s) have you purchased this week?
US$ 225?? That was a bargain! Lowest price in Europe (including appr. 20% VAT/Sales Tax) was around US$ 300. I bought nine bottles in three different batches and paid between US$ 300 and US$ 325 each. On Winesearcher one can still find them for this price in the UK, Denmark and Portugal. There is some upward pressure, though.Glenn E. wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 11:54 amDid the price of Stone Terraces essentially double for you, too?A.S. Not sure which Stone Terrace vintage, but I have seen ~$200 local to me a few weeks ago at a B&M. Maybe I should pick one up!A.S. Demka wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 5:01 am US$ 225?? That was a bargain! Re: What Port(s) have you purchased this week?
$225 was the first 4 vintages. Those were around 125 GBP in England, so $225 didn't feel like a terribly good bargain to me! That was also without VAT because I was buying in bond to be shipped to the US.A.S. Demka wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 5:01 amUS$ 225?? That was a bargain! For the 2021 vintage it looks like the Symingtons have increased the suggested price to around 225 GBP or 250 EUR. But then $545 in the US!
Vintage does matter on the older ones. 2011s are significantly more expensive these days, and that's if you can find them. 2015s are the least expensive, with 2016 and 2017 following. You can find 2015s for less than $200 pretty regularly.

Unfortunately their prices do not include VAT. So add another 23% to this price (EC countries only).Paul C.
