- 1977 Taylor (Fladgate) Porto Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto
Dark amber cola in color. Cola, light chocolate, and some light spirit on the nose. Wonderful, well-balanced, sweet flavor profile with Pez candy. Bright acidity and structure, and just a great long finish. (95 pts.) 10/14/2023

I have tasted Pez candy, but have no recollection of what it tastes like. Might you dispense some descriptors for that?

Bright, fruity disappointment.Eric Menchen wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 3:53 pm I have tasted Pez candy, but have no recollection of what it tastes like. Might you dispense some descriptors for that?
But seriously, it's a sugary, sweet, vaguely fruity flavor with some artificial citrus-like acidity.
