  Cask sample. This is the Mother wine for the S. Leonardo 30 Year Old Tawny Port. It is a dark brown-amber color. There are notes of molasses, salted caramel, and old wood. Intense and complex, it has waves of chocolate, dried fruit, and rich caramel, all backed by brilliant acidity. The finish is exceptionally long, with complex flavors lingering. (96 pts.)
