  2006 DR Colheita Port. Bottled in 2022. This wine is amber-ruby in color with orange on the edges. There are cinnamon and dried fruit notes on the nose. This wine was originally going to be bottled as a Late Bottled Vintage Port, but it went into barrel instead to become a Colheita Port. As such, it is a little bit of a strange Colheita, retaining some ruby Port characteristics not normally found in Colheita Tawny Ports. There are rich notes of roasted nuts and smooth caramel, but there are also some bright red fruits - strawberry, cranberry, and red currant. (92 pts.)
