TN: 2004 D’Oliveiras Tinta Negra

(August 2024 release, 46 g/l sugar.) Brilliant clarity, color of ~10 SRM. Aroma reveals pleasant alcohol warmth with light buttery sugar, a touch of honey, and a suggestion of apricot. Lots of acidity tending towards orange. The flavor gives a suggestion of a smoky attic. This is very light bodied, with a fairly short finish. It is a nice sipper, but not particularly interesting or complex. 87-88 points.
