TN: 1937 D’Oliveiras Sercial

(51 g/l sugar, 9.50 g/l TA.) Great clarity, ~20 SRM. The aroma gives VA chemicals, along with musty and floral notes as well. Smells like a stale cellar. The taste has biting acidity with lemon and lime, later more like bitter tangerine. There is a nice complexity of layers. This seems lighter bodied than the 1969 Sercial, medium-light. The finish is medium. This has more complexity than the 1969, but less body, making a tough call as to which is better. 91-92 points.
