TN: 1984 D’Oliveiras Verdelho

(Bottled 2023, 71 g/l sugar.) great clarity, 14 SRM. The aroma overall is very subtle with faint aromas of chemicals, mustiness, butter, and caramel, along with a hint of brown sugar. The taste presents sharp acidity with citrus, possibly even some lime flavor to go with the more usual orange and lemon. Later there is some wood character. This is a nice wine, comparable to the 1994 Verdelho, but not better despite the additional ten years. Upon revisiting both wines, I conclude that I in fact like the 1994 better. 93 points.
