1994 Taylor VP

Post by Eric Menchen »

Tasted blind in a horizontal of 1994 VPs. Very dark color, with a hint of brown bringing it into the garnet realm. Smells of deep dark fruits with herbs. Later there were aromas of cola and dark candy sugar, like Belgian D80 candi syrup. Big and powerful in the mouth, with wonderful fruit and strong but not unpleasant alcohol. The body is medium. Fruit flavors include cherry and plum. The power suggests this is Taylor, but the sugar aroma does not. 92 points. (This was later revealed as half of a magnum, the other half also tasted blind.)
