1992 Fonseca VP

Garnet color, and not quite as dark as the 1985. Smells of leather, red fruit, smoky meat and cheese, and paprika, with a little bit of alcohol spirit. The flavor is much more fruit than the aroma, with fig, raisin, and raspberry. A big sip shows lots of tannins. The oxidation of the fruit flavors is both interesting and a minor detractor at this point. 94 points.
