NV Zacuto Reserve Ruby Port by Oscar Quevedo

I purchased this unique Kosher port in Rockland County, NY at a fine Kosher wine store. We needed a Kosher port to make a ritual food for Passover called Haroset. So my expectations were modest when I opened it, even after noting it was produced by Vinhos Oscar Quevedo. Well, I got a nice surprise. It's a lovely straightforward Reserve Ruby with rich flavors of blackberry and rhubarb. Pleasant finish with no off notes, Luckily I bought multiple bottles so I can sip some while saving the rest for its intended use. Great QPR!

I don’t think I’ve tried the Zacuto, but I have been very pleasantly surprised at how tasty Quevedo Ruby and Ruby reserve Ports are.

I’m glad to hear the Zacuto follows the same path.
