That's a nice surprise, Alex. Hopefully you got it at a very good price.

Calem Sagrado Collections 30 anos (bottled 2017). This was a gift from my son who purchased it while he was in Copenhagen.

Roy,

Are you finding your bottles in small wine shops in Porto or at auction?

The company that imports Cálem into the UK is mainly a wholesaler and distributor but they recently opened a store on the High Street in Oxford.

When I visited today, I loved the complete range of Tawny and White Ports on the shelf — but it was a recently shipped, ex-cellars bottle of Calem 1985 that I walked out with.

One to open this year, probably once the sediment has settled again.

Incredible pickup. Congrats. With the way Niepoort is going, that's the Port equivalent of buying Bitcoin 15 years ago.

Great house, great year and special vineyard, even in the unlikely event the Port isn't the best, it's just going to be so scarce.

Interestingly, on their website they have the sheets for 08, 09, 13, 16, and 17 - but not 2011. I have seen this movie before, so was able to get the tech sheet by changing the URL. :scholar:

Thanks Lucas, I got lucky. Even though it's young, maybe we can try it at one of our future tastings. We could do a young vintage tasting of the 2011's and 2017's. That could be interesting.
