1955 Fonseca VP
This has a red-brown color and is the darkest deepest wine of the flight with 1995 Noval, 1955 Noval Nacional, and 1960 Fonseca. It smells of candied fruit, berry, and grape. Tasting it reveals really nice fruit and body. This is powerful enough to pass as a 1970 vintage Port. A big sip is wonderful, with medium body, nice cherry flavor, and some raspberry as well. There is some alcohol warmth, but it is in check and pleasant. 96-97 points.
