Celebrate good times ...

Post by Roy Hersh »

I had my annual physical today and had the usual stuff tested as one approaches the big 5-0. I had to fast since last night and my appointment wasn't until 4 p.m. today. Ouch!

I made sure last night that I'd have something to drink tonight to enjoy after the ordeal. The good news was that I lost 26 pounds since last year. I don't know how ... but I realize I must have been REALLY fat then, 'cause it does not feel like I lost that much.

Anyway, I popped open a 2001 Niepoort LBV tonight, my first Port since a few dozen last weekend. This is really stellar juice. More in the April FTLOP#24 issue.

Roy,

Bully for you!

I'm a little bit concerned with my health. I went to the Doctors, and after a few tests, he told me I'd have to take a tablet every day for the rest of my life...

But he only gave me THREE!!!! :D

Way to go Roy

But did the doc tell you to lose more? and not the kind Derek picked up from the floor of the train station

Damn doctors :) I had a doctor a few years ago tell me I needed to lose a few pounds...Now a few of you have met me...So, I was like, "What the F*** are you talking about, you want me to cut off a leg or what?" Moral of this story...DON'T LISTEN TO THEM...eat and drink what you want and be happy :scholar:

Congrats Roy,

Although I seem to have found at least 15 of those 26 that you lost :wall:

I blame it on all this yummy port that I have been sampling :yumyum: :winepour: hanging out on FTLOP :type: and a foot injury which has kept me away from my other vice: training for Ironman Triathlons and Ultra Endurance running.
