I certainly hope not! :)

(Also hope that the cellar had been emptied prior to the renovations!
(I know that most of you do not live in London... just found this little gem on the interweb and thought I'd share. ;) )

Despite it being in "thisislondon", the house is in Devon. Typical plumbers, take a fortune for DIY jobs and then get the new kid to do it below minimum wage.
I'm telling you - Port is from Portugal.

Have you heard about the new page in the Kama Sutra called 'The Plumber'???

Apparently, you both sit in all day and nobody comes! :D

You know, I caught that "Devon" part but assumed (apparently incorrectly) that it was an area within London and not a town/city of it's own. what do I know!)

Devon is a county in south-west England, roughly 200 miles west of London. Go much further west than Devon and the next land you meet is the US.

I wonder if the cellar of that mansion was fire-proof?

That's basically the way most Devon people feel about Cornwall. If they could cut it off and give a push they would.

As someone with a Cornish background, I can say that if the Cornish could extend the Tamar River a little further north and push England away then everyone would be happy!

And more people can speak Cornish now than could 50 years ago - a very useful langauge if you want to order a beer in a pub in the middle of nowhere in Cornwall. I'm still working on other uses for the Cornish language since I can't drink beer....
