You know, I caught that "Devon" part but assumed (apparently incorrectly) that it was an area within London and not a town/city of it's own. what do I know! )
As someone with a Cornish background, I can say that if the Cornish could extend the Tamar River a little further north and push England away then everyone would be happy!
And more people can speak Cornish now than could 50 years ago - a very useful langauge if you want to order a beer in a pub in the middle of nowhere in Cornwall. I'm still working on other uses for the Cornish language since I can't drink beer....
