I have recently had an offer for a few bottles of madeira from a private cellar. One of the bottles on the list was "1884 Blandy's Sercial". I have been unable to find any mention of this wine or any other madeira from 1884. Does anyone have any information on this wine?

I've inspected the 1884. The label refers to it as "Sercial BG". The label appears to say that it is bottle #229 of 445 bottled from wine that was procured from Bartolomeo Goncalves (sp?), who was mayor of Funchal in 1952. The back label is signed by a Blandy's official to authenticate the wine. The signature is illegible.
The wax capsule is missing a piece. Part of the cork is visible and clean and fresh looking. The fill is well up in the neck
Has anyone seen or drank one of these? I have e-mailed Blandy's to ask about the bottling date.
