That was pretty elaborate for 1957, considering television and the media itself was pretty much in its infancy and the amount of manpower needed to produce such an "April Fools Prank segment" must have been huge.

(Nowadays, an 8 year old could produce a better quality segment in half an hour on his computer using CGI and downloaded clips off the internet... makes the'57 effort all that much more impressive indeed! :)

Forget about the making of the clip . . . How about the spaghetti crop . . . What the serious enthousiasts wants to know , is : what kind of wood is used in storing the spaghetti , after It has been harvested ??
