Vesuvio Lagar Video

Post by Roy Hersh »

Does anybody have video of the lagar activity? I'd love to put it on the website if it transfers well.

Thanks!

Sorry Roy, Mario used the last couple of pictures in my camera to get a couple of low quality (no fault of Mario but simply my camera) stills for me to take home....no memory left for video.

That being said, I'd love for some video to be on the site. Come on guys......Andy, didn't you take some video (or get Mario to)?

Hopefully not the whole ~1 hour though!

Yes, Mario (and I) took some video with my camera but it did not come out very good as it was quite dark in the lagar room.

Roy and Stewart, it should be on the dvd's of pictures I gave you. Not sure if Stewart can work some computer majic and liven it up a bit.

I have some video of this - sorry, Stewart, I think I promised to send it to you but forgot.

The file is 49Mb - have you found a way to let me transfer this to you or will it have to be on CD?

I have uploaded the lagar action just before the break for "liberty". Sorry about the quality and length. My battery was almost dead.... long day!

Dave,

Great video. Brought back a lot of memories - I even recognised the guy I had my arm round (!?)

Yeah, that did bring back some fond memories of purple toes and knees (heh, I'm vertically challenged ok  )

I SO wanted to just dive in and start swimming around in it, but that guy yelling orders at us was big and mean looking, and I didn't want to piss him off. :winebath:

If you wanted to swim in it, then we would have had to dip your entire body in the aguardente!! :D

Video - Stomping Grapes in the Lagar at Vesuvio.

Post by Mario Ferreira »

I've just upload on Google my Vesuvio Lagar Video and gave it the same title as David Spriggs:
Stomping Grapes in the Lagar at Vesuvio. :)

Link: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 4839820263

Unfortunately this Video of mine shows very poor visualization due to the poor light on the site (and also due to the amateur camera I have). However, you may enjoy the sounds of those typical local chants.

My Video is slightly different of David's !! - This one of mine seems it actually adds 2 or 3 seconds to the one David Spriggs posted on YouTube.

Please, enjoy the chants :)

Well the low light is certainly something that is endemic and I thought I would add this grape stomping good time for others to see:
