There is an entry for "1915 Boal Taylor (MWA)" in the list of madeira vintages on Madeira Wine Guide. This must be it. It would seem that Taylor bought the wine from one of the British madeira shippers.

Wow, this was a shocking revelation for me. Very interesting to say the least. What Gary said, certainly makes sense. Is it worth asking my contacts at Taylor about this?

Absolutely... Perhaps they can shed some light on the history of this bottle, or if other bottlings from them are floating around out there.
