Like I promise on my 1st TN, I opened a Port (30 Years) to celebrate the birth of my boy that came to our world last week. Here it is the TN, especially for Todd Pettinger... Cheers Todd!!!
Bottled in 2006, this 30 Years Old Tawny has golden orange colour with notes of honey, dry fruits (nuts, almonds), dark chocolate and smoke. Full body but elegant, soft with equilibrium between the sweetness and the acidity typical of the Ports with this age. Long and persistent finish. 98pts.
Have anyone tried this Port?

David,
Congrats on the arrival of your new son
I've had this Port on 3 occassions now and its one of my favorite 30 years. A stunning bottle.

Congratulations David! Many in the industry (I believe Roy is of the same mindset) are predicting that 2007 will likely be a Vintage declaration year, so your son should have a few good choices for a birth-year Port!
I have never seen, nor tried this producer, or this 30 yr Tawny. I look forward to perhaps getting my hands on some as I have figured out how close in taste Andy's are to my own... and if Andy is confirming this as excellent, then it excites me!
Enjoy the new arrival. They are so precious at this age.
