SF Bay Area offline? [Moved to Offline Forum by Admin]

Post by Jay Powers »

How about the lovely San Francisco Bay Area, USA for a venue? I live about 10 miles south of SF in the lovely city of Pacifica. I would suggest either Friday or Saturday December 14th or 15th (with my preference being for Saturday 12/15.

Ocean-front hotels are within walking distance (downhill, of course) of my house, which is a 13 minute cab ride from SF International airport, ~20-25 minutes from downtown San Francisco, ~60 minutes from the Santa Cruz mountains or San Jose, ~2 hours from Napa.

My kitchen table fits 6 in a pinch, but if more are in I'm sure things could be arranged.

Theme to be detemined, but my cellar essentially ends at '63 for VP, or '34 (one bottle)/'37 for Colheita so let's not go crazy. But lets not do 2003 either.

Anybody interested?

Jay, If I were able to and were down there, I'd be there in a heartbeat... In fact, at only 13 minutes past the SF airport, I am almost sure I would have driven past your house when Igot lost driving around in May. ;)

I will let you know if anything in '08 looks like it will happen and we will definitely have to hook up the next time I am in town!

Jay-

I'm definitely interested, but with all the Dec commitments, need to verify that I can work out the time. I'll try to get back to you within the coming week.

Thanks for offering up your place! I don't have an extensive cellar to pull from, but depending on a theme, I will happily offer what I have, or source something appropriate.

December is a crazy month, although it would be great to come down and do some drinking in the Bay Area as long as I am not forced to watch football of the local teams. I will check and see if the dates could work out.

Roy, We shall record a Raiders game for you to watch, so long as you don't wear a Raiders tee-shirt

Jay,

I will be in SF around that time and would love to attend if my schedule works out. I know the 14th is no good and the 15th is probably OK. Keep me updated...
