Paulo,
That IS a blow out! 45 and 63 Croft!
How did these ports match up against themselves?
We enjoyed the Graham's 83 over 3 days. It is a fine, fine port.

The Croft 1945 was quite a memorable bottle.
The port had 30 minutes of decanting. The whole room smelled like cherry/plum perfume.
Who needed turkey leftovers after that!
Now to the TN:
Still very young with quite a fruit presence. At first a burst of well balanced fruit followed by a mid palate tone of molasses and an unusual eucalyptus/mint undertone. Very long finish with over 3 minutes of hang time. This wine still has a lot of legs. Being my first Croft 1945, this will be a port to remember. Consumption went very quickly! Could not get enough of it.
Unforgettable!
In order of preference during the evening:
Croft 45 - bar none. A grand slam!
Taylor 70 - will this be as good as the 45 by the time it reaches 60 years old?
Fonseca 77 - this felt like a young puppy in comparison. Awsome!
Croft 63 - This unfortunately had provenance issues. A slight chemical taste in the mid palate.
Cheers
