Large Port Cellar for Sale

Post by Shawn Denkler »

I imported port from English auctions, brokers and merchants for many years. My wine shop specialized in port. Now I'm selling the bulk of a collection of the best ports from each container. I feel they are priced very reasonably - check winesearcher and you will see. I'm happy to provide a condition report for every bottle. They currenty are stored at 58 degrees in a locker in San Francisco.

I certainly hope that you folks take advantage of some of these great prices that Shawn has listed for these bottles. Some very rare bottles here too.

Thanks Shawn for the Port I ordered. It arrived in great shape and were great values. And a special thanks for including the bottle gratis that you wouldn't sell me, you are a class act.

Since we don't get feedback in this area, how did you do from BB members in selling your wines Shawn? I hope you were able to sell a good amount of bottles considering there were about 400 "views" of your offering.

Feedback on response to the port offer:

Four people responded very quickly to the offer. Then a good while later six more people contacted me looking for port.

Many people wanted the same items, some were clearly very good buys. Sadly only the first few got them. Quinta do Vesuvio had the most interest by far, but then I had quite a few vintages available.

The majority of the cellar was sold to retail wine shops at these same prices. Then they were resold at higher prices.

At this point I do not want to sell any more, except to those that contacted me earlier.
