1994 Warre Vintage Port

Post by Steve South »

My wife was underwhelmed with day 2 Taylor (she is the Port fiend here)..
So.. I opened the 1994 Warres VP.. The first comment is "everything port should be"..Wonderful aromatics.. fig, plum and no alcohol showing...on the palate.. rich, mocha, fig and persimmon with a great richness... very approachable and wonderful... amazingly good at this early time.. Rich and texturally pleasing with great mouthfeel and finish.. if only it could all be this good!!

So Happy to hear that Steve!

I've only got 3-4 bottles, but many more magnums lying in wait!

Whoever did not make a great Port in 94 should
retire from business .
