1999 Vista Alegre Late Bottled Vintage(6/20/2008)
This was a gift from Miguel Martins - the Owner of Vista Alegre. (from half bottle) Medium dark color. Not quite Opaqe. Ruby rim. It looks obviously young. Very powerful fruity nose - blackberries with a touch of coffee. Nice! Big entry. Very palate staining. It's rich in a Vesuvio kind of way. Perfect acidity adds lift and length to the long finish. It's hard to stop sipping! This will last at least 20 more years. An amazing LBV. There were only 900 cases of this made - a severe selection. When I had this on realease, it had a green steak and was a bit rustic. All of that has changed! I would love to get more of this, but it is not imported to the US. (92 pts.)

David,
A good TN on a very good LBV. My sole bottle of this will stay in the cellar for many more years. One LBV that I've really enjoyed and great potential for the long term.
