Walked over to Freds place and brought along a '63 Messias colheita .
It was bottled in 1985 .
22yrs in bottle and just over 22yrs later , It was opened . An omen !!
Fred opened the bottle and the cork didn't brake . Can you believe It !!
The port was cloudy .
The 1st smell was caramel .
Surprisingly fresh , not a hint tannins .
It had citrus overtones .
very good price/quality ratio . 17 / 20

First we have to say that Luc paid 30 euros for that, a steal! even Moses can't beat that
I was surprised by the color, probably got shaken during the walk between the two places.
Overall a nice balanced and fres Colheita. Not very complex, nor deep nor long, but satisfying because of its quality and lack of flaws. Nose mainly speaking caramel, toffey and grapefruit. On the palate rich and smooth entry on sugary citrus flavours, some old spicy woods notes and the finish is all about crème caramel with some cinamon notes. Alcohol is slightly showing in the end, nothing major. I gave this 16.5.

In Germany you would have to pay some shabby 149 € for this bottle.

For the quality, rarity and vintage I'd be willing to pay a maximum of 70-75 euros I'd say.
