TNR: Feist 1979 Vintage Port

Post by Morten O »

My girlfriend gave me a bottle of Feist 1979 VP and since I was born in 1979 and it's the only VP from that year I've come across, I was quite happy with that present. I've tried to find TN's for it but with no luck. It wasn't a widely declared year and I don't expect too much of it, but it would be nice to know if it has aged enough. Have any of you ever tried it?

never had this one Morten, so can't speak for it as a bottle. But the vintage as a whole was a total failure and very little VP was produced. I wouldn't have any high expectations for your bottle, but it still may be a decent basic quaffer. I would drink up real soon, as from what I've read about 1979, its probably already over the hill. When you do get around to trying it, please post a TN. I don't recall ever reading a TN from a 1979 VP and would love to get your take on how it was.

Sounds like the TNR should be coming from US Morten, not you, since you have one bottle of this.

What a great g/f you have: goes and seeks out a difficult to source bottle from your birthyear.

She's a keeper dude. 8--) :salute:
