Colour was a ruby, though it was kind of dark in the room. Berries on the nose, with prunes and chocolate. Lots of fruit, but the fruity flavour dissipates into a koolaid-esque consistency. A mildly spicy finish, medium-long.
I actually really enjoyed it and found it quite easily quaffable.
I did not write a tasting note for it, but I bought and drank three bottles of the 1999 LBV, so I know I liked it, a lot. At $28. I thought it was a very good QPR.
