Hi there!

In the background i provided some infos regarding the other Barbeito-thread (topic: Barbeito stopped selling their old vintages).

I tried to locate some bottles and now would ask for your suggestions what to take.

The wines and prices are as follows and include VAT/EUR per bottle.

6 bottles Malvasia 1834 @ 300
6 bottles Bual 1863 @ 260
4 bottles Malvasia 1875 @ 260
18 bottles Malvasia 1900 @ 260

I am willing to post the sellers contact infos @ marketplace if anyone is interested and in case i do not take all of these

Thanks for contributing,

Andreas

I think these prices are fair. Oh Boy, 18 botttles of 1900 M. I have some places in my files how many bottled, and some story about it. Will see if I will find it.

It is very rare now. Luckily I got hold of 6 long a while ago..

These are good prices compared to the prices in the States, especially the 1834 Malvasia. That's going for two to three times the price. This wine is quite good and shows the quality of pre-phylloxera Madeira; and it's 175 years old!
