The Imperials I own are 6 liter bottles, is that what "Imp" stands for in your example?

No, that was something I found on the web. That particular list had both "Imperial" for a 6 liter bottle, and "Imp" for a 50 cl (aka 500 ml) bottle. It struck me as odd since I'd never heard it before, and thus we have this thread.
