Buying oPORTunity ?

Post by jon bricken »

There a lot of sales going on this month.

I have been offered a split case of the following at a great price (if the wine is good it is equal to a very inexpensive LBV) Quinta de la Rosa 1995 & 1996.

Could this be my everyday quaf??

Any information would help.

Thanks.

Jon,

I did a bit of research and, based on Mason's book, both years were very good years for Single Quinta VP's from Quinta de la Rosa, 1995 being overall a bit better. So, if the price is as cheap as you imply, I would say go for it. And be sure to let us know how they are.

Andy

Thanks for the quick research.

I will buy the case and when I drink the first bottles I will post notes.

Both ports are being offered to me at $17.00 USD.

Once again thanks.

At that price, even if they are modest in quality, they'd still be more interesting than most LBVs. Of course there are exceptions, but for everyday quaffing, these should do quite nicely given the QPR.
