Decanted for 10 mins...
Dark cherry, with faint bricking on the edges. Quite fruity on the nose, lots of berries, figs, walnuts, and caramel. Oaky presence on the palate, nicely balanced. Very fruity, but surprisingly light and quaffable. Aspects of gorgonzola, chocolates, and nuts with a touch of citrus. Some tannin, but it still tastes a little thinner than I would have expected. Beautiful finish, medium-long with a little spice. 16.5/20

Deep, dark cherry, with faint bricking on the edges. Still pretty fruity on the nose, lots of darker berries, plenty of chocolate and nuts. More earthy aromas. Thicker, lush mouthfeel. Brooding fruit on the palate, darker, nuttier, burnt caramel. Not as lively, but still nice. Finish is the same. 16/20
