I was surfing through the selection at winechateau.com since they carry Fonseca Terra Bella, and I noticed
Sao Xisto Porto Vintage Port Vinha Nova 750ml 2004 - On Sale $57.99
Can anyone tell me what this is? My google searches turned up:
http://www.taylor.pt/qtvargellas.asp
which tells me it is now a Taylor property next to Quinta de Vargellas; but the text isn't consistent with a 2004 VP
and
http://www.quintasaoxisto.com/
which doesn't have any information about Port wine that I could find, although obviously located in a vineyard; and no obvious connection to Taylor.

Re: Sao Xisto?
Hi Eric,
From what I could confirm, Quinta de S. Xisto is made up of vineyards and hold houses. The old houses were bought by a private investor, who made alterations to the buildings and are now offered for tourism. The vineyards were bought by Taylor's holding, which is beside Vargellas, and from here comes the reference you found in Taylor's webpage.

Re: Sao Xisto?
Thank-you for the information Oscar. That at least explains the two websites and the current situation. I'm still wondering about that 2004, since Taylor appears to have owned the property at the time, but had recently replanted.
