It's easy to find it there. Many restaurants and supermarkets have Port wine.
My personal choice and recomendation, for those going to Singapore. Is to go to a restaurant call "Les Amis". It has very good food, service and most important a wine list with a good selection of Vintage Ports (the best I have seen at the moment in a restaurant). The prices of those are also good, they have this selection without charce it a lot. Congratulations for Les Amis restaurant.

Re: Port in Singapore
Thanks for your report, Carlos. Were most of the Ports from older or younger vintages? Also, were there a lot of Tawny Ports on the list itself?
I have only heard great things about touring Singapore. It is supposed to be remarkably clean/safe and calming. From what my father had told me (he and his wife spent two months there in the late 1990s ... as my step brother lived there) the food quality and service in restaurants is extremely high on average and at very reasonable prices.

All of them were Vintage, and more older than younger vintages. You can see all the information on his web page: http://www.lesamis.com.sg/webtop/index1.html. Ones on the main page go to 'our outlets & products' - 'our outlets' - 'les amis', then you are in the restaurant. They have the full wine list in pdf http://www.lesamis.com.sg/webtop/LesAmis_winelist.pdf.
Yes, the service is excellent, and the food very good.

That is some wine list! Maybe they should print what heavy hitters they do not have...

Re: Port in Singapore
Hi Moses,
When I was there, they taught me their cellar (I asked if they'd..). I have seen many restaurant cellars, because of my previous work (wine wholesaler) and I have to tell you, that they do have one of the best restaurant cellars I have ever seen. They showed me some of the Ports, and they had all the wines I ordered ....

A nice list for sure and while there is a very nice selection of Ports, what a huge list of old Bordeaux with some in large format

Re: Port in Singapore
I travelled to Singapore several times a year for 10 years in my last job and it is one of my 4 favourite cities worldwide (along with New York, San Francisco and London - sorry Seattle!). While I found that the port culture in Singapore was a welcome oasis in the Far East, I did find the prices were quite high compared to what I was used to in the UK.
But Singapore is a wonderful place to visit. The only city in the world where I feel comfortable walking back on my own to where I am staying at 3am.
