It would be great for people to share some of their favorite sources!

On a B&M level, I like Marty's in Newton, MA. Solid prices, good selection and plenty of Madeira too. Incredible Burgundy close-out's all the time, but that is for another thread...

Martignetti's in Brighton, MA also has some good deals, especially in the summer which reminds me to pass by there today. They are the only place near me that will SQVP's or rarities to me like Dow Colheitas...

My B&M options aren't that great here in Colorado. But checking my notes, I see that I've bought from 11 different online retailers which I've been more and less happy with. Their selection isn't extensive, but the best customer service has been Blicker Pierce Wagner, http://www.bpwine.com/, and I like the $9 shipping.

My suppliers of preference (until now) in The Netherlands are:

Ton Overmars in Amsterdam, best prices on most occasions (wine and (Vintage) port) and a very wide selection (which is sometimes hard to find over here).

Furthermore, I've orderd some cases of 2005 Vintage Port at Gommers Wijnimport, who is offering even better prices (please note, prices are at Dutch level, so the may seem quite high as compared to US of UK prices) than Ton Overmars on pre-release Vintage Ports. Only disadvantage is that his selection is quite limited.

For the 2007 pre release Vintage ports, I have ordered some online in the UK, which I will go pick up when they get available over there. I'm planning to combine it with a weekend in London (combine the pleasant with the practical!). It will save me the shipping costs (about the same as the price for a weekend from here to London by car) and I will have no risk at having to pay Dutch customs fees (let's hear it for the European Union!).
The price difference between the UK and the Netherlands is quite considerable (partlyh due to the favourable exchange rates between Euro and Pound).

My favorite retailer for buying any wine is George's Wine Shoppe in Bellevue, WA. It isn't because he has the widest or best selection of Ports, but because I enjoy going there for the people. He recently moved locations and ended up with something like 45 volunteers to help with the move. It only took a few hours to move his entire wine shop about a mile away. And I think we're finally safe to say that not one bottle broke along the way... and no Port was 'rePorted' missing... Hopefully as I deplete some of his selection he will see to expand it.

I did go to Redmond Cigar and Fine Wine and saw a decent selection, especially of VP's. Pete's has a pretty nice selection of both the VP's and Tawny Ports - although it took me a while to realize they are in different areas.
