[Madeira @ Triomphe (New York City)]: Lovely wine. Toffee, butterscotch and an unctuous texture. Rich and sweet, with adequate (not great) acids. My notes read "baked pastry"... not sure where that came from. (91)

[Madeira @ Plumpjack's (San Francisco)]: Dark sweet and luscious. Although a bit soft relative to the other Malvazias in the flight, this still had very sound acidity. Great length. My notes are starting to get a bit shorter as the night wears on. (93)

[Madeira @ The Caucus Room (Washington DC)]: Nutty and figgy. Some maple and brown sugar with excellent acids. Unctuous and rich. Beautifully long and detailed finish. A wonderful example of the genre. VERY GOOD. (94)
