Rare Wine Company will conduct a tasting of the Leacock madeiras in New York on 17 October. The notice they sent is attached below.
A Taste of History
An Epochal Tasting of Rare
Madeiras at the J.P. Morgan
Mansion, October 17th
This past June, in San Francisco, we hosted two Madeira tastings of profound importance: the wines of the Leacock family.
The wines represented not only the greatest concentration of iconic Madeiras to appear in more the three decades, but the last collection of such depth and provenance that the world is likely to ever see. And those who attended the tastings had the good fortune to taste most of the collection's greatest wines.
On Saturday afternoon, October 17th, in New York, we will host the third tasting of the Leacock family Madeiras in a very special setting: the mansion of arguably the greatest American Madeira collector ever, J.P. Morgan.
This promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime event for which space is extremely limited. For details please click here.

Re: Leacock Madeira Tasting in NY
Several of us including Roy attended the two tastings in San Francisco earlier. Some great Madeiras tasted. One thing, these are wines in bottle for decades if not centuries so the flavor profiles are a little different than wines recently bottled. More delicate and ethreal, less overt fruit. If you can attend, I'd definitely recommend it.

I'm thinking about it, but $550 plus transportation, etc. is making it hard.
