In the midst of my last bottle ... VB

Post by Roy Hersh »

of Barbeito VB. I had purchased a case of this wine in 500 ml bottles over the course of a year and gave a few away to friends who missed the offering. I have enjoyed this early and often. Far more Verdelho character than Boal in my opinion but still a very nice blend of the two. I enjoy the dry finish of great length and the rather light and sultry frame. A formal TN will be forthcoming. Wish I had more of this tucked away. $25 per bottle upon release, made this one of the great QPR bottlings that I've had this decade!

Thanks Andy, but I suggest putting it to better use and sharing it with people who have never tried Madeira or are seeking more data points in their search to learn. It is a great bottle for exactly that, or late night drinking during the winter. Besides it is bad luck to kill the same "last" bottle, 2x. 8--)
