I got 3 days in Villa Nova...

Post by Axel Probst »

Hi guys,

can anyone help me in choosing a douro-valley trip to one of the Quintas upstream.

In September Im going to be in Villa Nova (Ive been there last year and loved it). I will be there over the weekend and Im thinking of a boat trip upstream to visit a Quinta (Malveidos or Vargellas maybe, cause I now someone at Taylors and Grahams). Has anyone any experience with these trips and can give me some idea how to organize it.

Thanx in advance,

Axel

I've tried to go at Quinta do Vargelas once and they have told me that only groups or journalist could be received there are normally they have no one to receive tourists there.

Keep in mind that September is the harvest time. Even if you get appointment there at a Quinta they can drop you at last minute for emergency.

By the end of March, our various harvest trips will be announced. You may choose to make your own plans, but we can assure you of tastings and other experiences that would be very difficult to match.
