A great idea on a number of fronts.

However, it does demonstrate the modern consumer's inexplicable need for perfect packaging over the quality of what they are buying. It's the same phenomenon that has led to farmers having to grow perfectly shaped vegetables - they taste the same, or sometimes worse, than those with the variety of shapes and sizes that nature provides but the consumer will pay more for them, and supermarkets will therefore prefer to stock them, if they "look" perfect. It's crazy. A bottle of Noval 1997 is "worth" $150 regardless of whether or not the label has been stained by wine from another bottle that has broken or if it has a spelling mistake on the label. Personally, I see no reason to discount the price for these reasons uness there is a doubt that what is inside the bottle may have been compromised. But modern retailers and their perfection-seeking customers seem to disagree!

Interesting idea, but I checked their Port prices and they are the same as regular retail. So I'm not sure where the 1/3 to 1/2 bargins are.

The two VPs they have are 2003 Graham's at $75 and 2005 Taylor Quinta de Vargellas for $50.
I paid $40 and a little over $30 for those, respectively.

Another +1. Their prices are good for B&M retail, but not all that great compared to other internet stores. Sandeman 20y old at $39 might be a buck or two cheaper than normal, but that's about it.
