TN: 2007 Quinta do Vale Meão Meandro Douro

Post by Bob Parsons Alberta »

There was about 2 glasses left when I walked into DeVines downtown here in Edmonton. Bottle had been opened 3 days, not much on the nose but excellent grip on the palate.

Plum/spice/medium tannins/minty/raspberry/nice structure. Think it around $36 Cdn. Very enjoyable.

2007 was generally very good across the board for Douro wines, so it's good to hear this one was still holding up after three days. Did you end up getting any?

Doh! I just had the 2006 last night at a dinner with friends at their house, and while I didn't take notes it was a very good bottle. I'm still looking for the 2007 when it shows up at stores around me.
