Wow, this is gonna be tough.

1- 1990 Niepoort Robustus

2- 2007 Quinta do Crasto Maria Teresa

3- 2007 Quinta do Crasto Vinha da Ponte (the bottle in June was so much better than in October BTW)

4- 2000 Quinta do Crasto Vinha da Ponte

5- 2001 Niepoort Batuta (I love where this is at right now and yet it's so young still)

I guess you could say Quinta do Crasto and Niepoort make some stunning Douro dry wines [notworthy.gif]

Not an easy one indeed, I'll select 5 wines independant of the vintage

Out of order I'd go with :

Robustus( 1990 for the emotion and the rarity while the 2004-2005 for the complexity and perfection of crafting)
Batuta(the purity of 2001, the complexity of the barrel tasting from 2004, the perfection of the 99)
Charme(the perfume of 02, purity of fruit achieve since then in every other vintage)
Crasto Touriga Nacional (the freshness and complexity of TN, no one is close to this with TN alone in a bottle)
Barca Velha ( the depth of flavours and minerality, a real benchmark for wine making... around the globe)
Living the dream and now working for a Port company

I realized in looking through threads on Douro wines, I started this one, but never put in my own list:

1991 Barca Velha - in its prime
2004 Quinta do Crasto Vinha da Ponte
1990 Niepoort Robustos
2001 Quinta do Crasto Touriga Nacional
2001 Niepoort Batuta
