Fascinating food and wine brilliance

Post by Roy Hersh »

I've only met him once, after a great trade tasting of Port wine in SF, introduced by our mutual friend Bartholomew Broadbent. I was in awe of his intellect and recall for wines he had tasted years earlier. Bartholomew told him I was a Port lover and Darrell proceeded to ask me some of the toughest questions on Port, I've ever been faced with. The funny part is ... he knew the answers to all of the questions he asked and was just testing me. Here now, The Darrell: http://www.sacbee.com/2010/03/03/257695 ... rrell.html
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
