Love of White Port turns deadly ... would be my made up title for this crazy incident.

Your turn. Can you find something Port wine related that is this [kez_11.gif] ?

well Oscar Q. did say White Port has been selling a lot more recently, guess we now know why

But seriously, this is the problem when you appoint a Police Chief who has no prior experience. If he did spike the wine, then he deserves to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Gibson white port sounds like the Sante Fe white port I sold when working in a liquor store in South Central LA in the early 1970's. 375 ml and 20% alcohol for $0.58. Thunderbird was the expensive stuff at $0.65. It was the cheapest legal buzz around.
