Hopefully comes back in stock some day

Wow... $112! That's some serious money. Fantastic Port though. It's drinking amazingly well right now.
Not really, they are about $90-95 here in the USA.
Well... late last year it was 25 GBP in the UK. Maybe that was fallout from the financial crisis or a forced sale. But yes, it's been about $90 for quite a while in the US.... and with tax would put it right about $100. Actually, given the high cost of alcohol in Sweden then $112 is not bad at all!

Save me a foot locker! [friends.gif] I think I spent around $60 a bottle when I bought mine, but that was a couple of years ago.

Just bought some Malvedos 1987. Tried this not very long ago and was very impressed - another winning wine from the undeclared 1987 vintage.

A very rare bottle of 1941 Quinta do Noval Colheita. Not a single bottle at the Quinta and Rute has never seen one. I am waiting to hear if Christian has ever tried one. Pristine condition, I am very happy with this one.

Very nice! That's a treasure bottle if I ever saw one.

I just picked up a couple of cellar defenders:

1995 Smith Woodhouse LBV for $21.25
NV Noval Black Ruby Reserve for $16.99

And I placed an order for 3 bottles of 2007 Noval VP at $89.99 each... more than I wanted to spend per bottle, but it's just to hard to find to risk missing out.

I've never had it, but I've heard that it is excellent. I'd have probably paid 120 pounds for just those two bottles, so

2 x 1985 Croft at $51 each

Also placed a bid on 2 x 1985 Burmester at $46 each... hopefully that will be sufficient. These two purchases will grow my 1985 horizontal to 22!

I have four of those as well from the same source. For a company call Til Sold Out, they keep managing to dig up new stocks of the stuff. [1974_eating_popcorn.gif] But I won't complain too much since that is/was/will be again a great price. I watched yesterday and just picked up a few bottles of white for summer drinking.

WTSO sells a given wine until sold out OR 24 hours, whichever comes first.

If they don't sell out, sometimes it comes back as a fill-in on a day where something else sells out, or it shows up on their Cheapskate sales (a new wine at VERY low prices every 15 minutes). I bet I saw over 50 of the 96 wines yesterday, but none were things I needed. I saw some as low as $7.99 each w free shipping for the required 4 bottles.

I watched WTSO when I could yesterday hoping for these LBVs (I had missed them a month or so ago on a regular day)... [beg.gif] . I was ready to go to bed (I probably had seen about 30 listings)and did once last refresh and there they were...paydirt! :D ..and yes Andy, I had read your reviews which made me even more determined. :thanks:

I never saw any other ports yesterday (they had a Quinta do Castro VP about a month ago)...most of the wines seemed under $20/bottle whereas on regular days they run the gamut. Curious, did anyone else see other ports yesterday?

that's a nice wine but does suffer from a VA problem. Hopefully yours will come through for you.

I think that range could be narrowed down significantly and still arrive at the same answer. Sorry, Glenn, this was not a good purchase :snooty:

Pfft. Wasn't purchased for quality; was purchased for completeness. This gives me 21 different 1985 Ports. I have a leading bid in on #22, and a line on a place where I can get #23. Once I have 24 I'll start planning the horizontal!

Besides, VA in Port doesn't bother me nearly as bad as it bothers others, so there's a decent chance I won't even notice it!
