senhora do convento

Post by Frederick Blais »

Anyone tried the Douro wines from this Quinta? I just learn from a local importer that this quinta is own by the people behind the very reputated house of Domaine de Pousse d'Or in Burgundy. The only tasting note I found was on Port but it does not seem positive, are the more recent wines of better quality?

I only ever tried a line up of their ports and wasn't enthusiastic about them. I would be interested to read something about their douro wines as well.

They just got there so they'll probably need time to do anything.

I was in Burgundy last week (i had the time of my life) so i had time to talk with a friend that works at the Pousse D'Or, about this new project. They made a great investment and they will start soon to work. They have a lot of old ports in barrels, btw the brand is HEREDIA, but don't know how they will use it.
