Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

I, for one, am keeping my fingers crossed. Living in Maryland poses challenges to getting good wine at fair prices! Having the world opened up to Maryland wine consumers who want to have wine shipped directly to their homes would be wonderful.

In spite of the damage that may be done to my household budget, I would be strongly in favor of such a change.

The tax increase, however, I could do without.

Given the bigger issues like direct shipping to consumers, which this is not, I'm not sure how much this will actually benefit consumers. In the smaller retailer vs. big box store competition, I think my wine purchases are helped by the smaller retailers in my not-so-big-box friendly state. Prices for main brands (which I don't really buy much of) might be slightly higher, but selection is greater and if I shop around I can find decent prices.
