Oh, I will definitely be waiting. :D But maybe not patiently.

I suggest you bide your time with a nice glass of Port. :winebath: That's my plan.

Sounds like a good plan, and I would if I could! I haven't been feeling well lately, so I've been unable to partake and not feeling much like it anyway. :( Hopefully by the time my little friends from across the sea arrive, I will be feeling more in a Port-friendly state.

Something seems to be going around. My wife was sick last week and I'm coming down with it now. Sure doesn't help the enjoyment of Port!

Have there been any whisperings of those Ports heading across the sea? [foilhat.gif] I've been faithfully gripping my Port dollars in anticipation.

We need a GPS tracker on the boat, or the Port itself [1974_eating_popcorn.gif]

Unfortunately it was intercepted by the UK Coast Guard and diverted to Southhampton where the contents were seized by the UK contingent of FTLOP. We can't allow you guys to start buying cheap Port otherwise there will be none left for us [cheers.gif]

OK, here is the story ...

The wines landed last week but were at Customs. As of yesterday they were being release and will wind up in the importer's E. Coast warehouse at the beginning of next week. He'll then ship them off to the retailer. As soon as they land there, we'll be good to go. I am waiting for specific dates being discussed for when the retailer wants to do the week-long order taking. Should be in two weeks or so. I am planning to have the next newsletter to include this info and am in holding patter for that reason. I have given everyone a deadline of June 10th to provide me with final details, so we can get the newsletter out between the 11th of June and the 13th.

As soon as I have more info, I'll report back here.

Thanks for your patience!

Roy

Figured out my order. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to submit it on Monday, which will be tough since I'll be traveling. Then I'll meet up with Oscar the following week in LA and wish I'd ordered more.

I had dinner with Oscar two nights ago in Barcelona, always a great time! He is now on his way to Seattle and for those of you in the area, I sent you and invite to that event but did not mention he was going to be there ... but he will be. Go meet him at that Daniel's Broiler event I sent you.

The QUEVEDO Ports and Douro wine are a few hours away from being available ... as of Monday in the USA ... and I know they are all there safe and sound, finally. I'd love your feedback in the form of tasting notes, anytime you want to open one and what we call, "take one for the team." [cheers.gif] [friends.gif] :salute: [yahoo.gif]

ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got my order in early this morning when they opened.

Flickinger's has been getting a lot of orders, so don't wait to put yours in. Oh and since the weather is getting warm, have no worries they will hold your shipment until cooler weather arrives. I've bought from Flickinger's in the past and they are a class act to deal with. Many thanks to them for doing this [notworthy.gif]

Put my order in, but they do not ship to many states, so make sure you have a back up shipping address should you live in one of those states. [dash1.gif]

Placed my order as well. Sounds like Melanie beat me to the punch, though! Susie said that she'd just taken an order from Duval, WA...

My order went in at about 10:00AM EST. They said that there were 4 orders before mine, but expected to pick up once the West Coast started to wake up. She told me that they would ship November 1, which is perfect.

Apparently, the LBV is a hot item.

I live in one of 'those' states (Maryland) that they cannot ship into. She was very relieved that I had already lined up my alternative shipping address in Virginia.

The lady who took my order was great! I wish all of my daily interactions were so pleasant.

Cause this is a smoking good LBV and a great deal on top of that.
