Exactly 5 years ago today; the website & Forum of FOR THE LOVE OF PORT, hit the internet for the first time (the newsletter began a year and a half earlier).

Thanks to Stewart Todd for his patience and creativity over the years AND putting up with the long hours and keeping the lights on here. Without his tireless work, there would be no .

I would also like to give to David Spriggs, Andy Velebil and Mario Ferreira for their dedication to our team, hard work behind the scenes and continued work as ambassadors for the site. It has been a pleasure working with you guys.

And to you, the Port, Madeira and Douro wine lovers across the globe who have visited the website, participated here on the Forum, in PORTraits, our Facebook page ... or joined us on one of our Port Harvest or Fortification Tours ... I lift my glass to let you know I appreciate your
dedication. Did I say lift -- or drain?

In celebration, grab a fun bottle of Port and hoist a glass or three with us this weekend. We plan to celebrate full time, after the newsletter goes out on Saturday.
