1970 Borges Vintage Port

Post by simon Lisle »

Quite dark in colour decanted for six hours, plummy with a hint of chocolate and nutmeg a bit hot at the finish.I don't know who made this port as it only has 1970 vintage port painted on the front and branded on the cork, there is a label on the back bottled by the Douro wine shippers & growers association, imported by Levert & Schudel B. V. Haarlem.

I'm not 100% sure, but think this was made by Borges.

I was reading through Sucklings vintage port and found out that this port was made by A Pintos Dos Santos who also bottle under the Flagman name as well as Douro Wine Shippers & Growers Association.
